Secondary Student Announcements:

 

Announcements: Thursday March 3

1. Our 7th and 8th grade baseball team will be Saturday at Kirk Academy in Grenada at 12:00. Our Varsity Baseball Team will travel to Grenada tomorrow to play Grenada High School. Starting time of 4:00. Saturday the Varsity will travel to Jackson Academy to play Clinton High school at 2:30 and Jackson Academy at 5:00.

  1. Our Creative Writing Club will be having “Bring Anything but a Backpack Day” tomorrow. You should have already signed up in the office and it will be approved. This will require a $5.00 donation to be turned into your English Teacher on that day.. All donations will be going to St Jude.
  2. Our Newspaper and Broadcasting classes are asking all students to bring plastic bottles to be recycled and will be used for an experiment that they will be participating in. Boxes will be placed in the hallways for your convenience. Please do this asap.
  3. The Early Bird Track Meet will be today here at Bayou. Field Events will start at 1:00. Running events will start at 2:30.
  4. BAND!! There will be a band assessment Tuesday March 8th at 1:30 pm that all 5th-7th graders will take. To 8th-10th grade…If you are interested in being in band next year, you may also come and take the band assessment. There will be a sign up list in the secondary office. Please sign up by Monday March 7 so a list can be sent out to teachers letting them know where you will be.**Mr Hugley has spoken to many who said they were interested in the band, but didn’t know what to expect. This is your opportunity to find out. Don’t miss out , because this will be your last opportunity.
  1. Winter Sports Banquet will be Monday March 7 8:00-9:00 in the Gym. JV and V Boys Soccer, Jr High and High School Basketball and JV and Varsity Cheer will be recognized.

ALL Track Athletes who are in a Field Event will be dismissed at 12:00. All other Track Athletes will be released at 1:30.

**ALL TEACHERS AND MRS JANA HAVE A LIST OF THE STUDENTS WHO WILL BE EXCUSED. ALL OTHER STUDENTS MUST REMAIN IN YOUR CLASSES UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EXCUSED ABSENCE.
