Our Story

Bayou Academy's journey started back in 1964 as the "little schoolhouse on the Bayou," and what a journey it's been! Over the decades, as the number of eager students grew, we had to move to keep up with the demand.  Now at our permanent location, we've built a school that even alumni can be proud to call their alma mater!

Today, our home is a vibrant hub on Crosby Road in Cleveland, where over 600 students in K3 - 12 and more than 90 dedicated faculty and staff members come together every day. We've grown beyond our wildest dreams, and while growth often brings its own set of challenges, we embrace these as opportunities for improvement and expansion. As the only school in Cleveland where you can begin and end without ever having to switch schools, we do not take this honor lightly.

We cherish our place within the Cleveland community and the surrounding Delta towns. By working together, we create enriching and innovative learning experiences for our students. Our days begin with a devotional, scripture, or chapel, and we're deeply grateful for the freedom to incorporate these spiritual moments into our school life.
