Counseling Department
At Bayou Academy, we do our best to prioritize the mental, emotional, and academic well-being of every student.
Our experienced and compassionate counselor is here to provide a safe and confidential space for students to discuss any concerns, from academic challenges to personal struggles.
We offer a range of supportive resources, including individual counseling, academic advising, and referrals to external professionals when needed. Together, we work toward fostering a thriving and resilient student community.
Counselors/Advisors will assist with:
- Faculty to student/parent conferences
- One-on-one counseling with students
- One-on-one counseling with faculty/staff
- Academic advising, with Academic Dean
- Mental/wellness check-ins with students
- Personalized feedback
Secondary Counseling
For all students, 7 -12th grade, Mrs. Caroline Hill, L.P.C., will be available for any services needed. If a parent feels that a child may need someone to check on a student's mental health, Mrs. Hill is available to discreetly offer assistance.
Ms. Hill will also oversee any advising in K3 - 6th grades, with assistance from Mrs. Preston Tabb, Counselor.
Elementary Counseling
For students in K3 - 6th grade, Mrs. Preston Tabb, Counselor, will assist Mrs. Caroline Hill, L.P.C., for any needed advising services. Mrs. Tabb will speak with students under the direction of Mrs. Hill.

College & Career Counselor
For secondary students, Mrs. Christie Rocconi will assist with college planning information and FAFSA preparation. Mrs. Rocconi will provide parents with a wealth of information to help them prepare. Students and parents can set up appointments with Mrs. Rocconi to prepare their financial aid for college.
Bayou Academy offers multiple events throughout the year to assist students in becoming college & career ready.
