STICK IT to the Staff

Click here to go straight to our fundraising page for STICK IT to the Staff! This is going to be such a fun day! We’ve raised almost $2,000 so far! If you have not been able to get involved or give to our capital campaign, this is a great way to do this. We want everyone to take pride in Bayou Academy, so your support means the world to us! No amount is too little! We are asking for as much involvement as we can get!

Charitable Causes

During the holiday season, we want to make dedicated efforts to give back to those in need. We are richly blessed and we want to make sure we are passing those blessings on to those who need them. Please look through this list and help where you feel led. Thank you!

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

The elementary participated in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse. We shipped out 73 boxes last week. THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts. This is such a special ministry and we are so thankful for our generous families who contributed.

Student Council + Community Service: Merry Christmas Blessings

Student Council & Community Service club are partnering with a local church in town to provide Christmas & groceries to a family in need. The family consists of Mom, Dad, & five children. Since the family is large, we decided instead of asking you to bring specific clothing sizes, we would take up money to purchase these items. We are asking each child, school-wide, to bring $3 – $5 to help this family. This is a family within our own community that needs our help. You can bring this money ANYTIME this week through December 6th.

Teacher of the Month

Congratulations to Ms. April Lawrence on being chosen as October’s Teacher of the Month at Bayou Academy! Ms. Lawrence has gone out of her way to make learning FUN for her students! She works with them in different ways and always engages the entire class, never shying away from new strategies and ideas. She leads by example, not only for her students, but for her peers as well. We are so fortunate to have her on our teaching staff! Thank you, Ms. Lawrence, for teaching our children to aim HIGHER and reach their goals!

Verse of the Week

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
