Academics - Kindergarten

 













3-K: Mandy Jenkins and Kim Baioni

Course Description: In 3-K we explore each day. The children are learning how to share, how to take their turn, how to walk down the hall in a line, how to identify their colors, and how to identify their ABC’s, etc…

Course Description: In 3-K we are learning to play an get along with our new friends. We enjoy singing, dancing, story time, art, projects, and center time. At group time, our class is introduced to concepts that will be taught in 4-K.

4-K: Cindy Ellis and Beth Redditt

Course Description: We work in small groups at centers. Some of our centers include the following: blocks, housekeeping, books, play dough, art, math, puzzles, and alphabet.

Course Objectives: The objective is to make learning fun through play, art, and music.

5-K: Kim Martin and Morgan Nail

Course Description: Kindergarten is an exciting year. Learning to read is a big achievement for the children! The children are taught from the A Beka Curriculum which they seem to really enjoy. The bright pictures and fun poems make learning fun. Art is one of the children’s favorite times of day. The children enjoy expressing their creativity and learning in fun ways.

Course Description- The basic physical education involves routine stretches before strenuous physical exercise, a few laps around the gym, and athletic games to open the students to a healthy way of having fun.

Course Objective- Physical education serves as a way for students to learn the importance of exercise while simultaneously utilizing those exercise techniques for their own health and fun.
